Our Accomplishments
- St. Joseph Food Program has been operating for over 28 years!
- We currently distribute food to 1000 families per week.
- Our current milk budget for 2010 is $200,000. We were able to increase our milk distribution by 50% over 2009!
- We operate with the help of over 400 volunteers.
- We distributed over 2.5 million pounds of food last year free of charge!
- 90 cents of every dollar donated to St. Joe's goes to purchase and distribute food for our clients.
- We assist other non-profit agencies who stop by weekly for groceries to assist their clients. These agencies include: Harbor House, COTS, Dale Food Program and the Appleton Boys and Girls Club.
- To supplement donations, we must purchase non-perishables and fresh produce items to keep the shelves stocked. This budget is over $700,000 per year.
- St. Joseph Food Program receives No Federal, State, Local or Government support. We depend only on the Generosity of the community for funding and food donations.
- We have two donated trucks that go out every morning to area groceries, bakeries, convenience stores and restaurants to pick up donated food.
- St. Joseph Food Program will pick up the food you raise for your food drive.
- St. Joseph Food Program is open Monday-Friday 9:30-11:30 a.m. and Monday evenings 5:30-7:45 p.m.
- We serve four counties including Winnebago, Outagamie, Waushara and Calumet.
