Steamed Vanilla Dream

Serves 2*

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups low fat milk
  • 2 pinches of freshly ground nutmeg
  • honey to taste (optional)

Directions:

  1. Put the milk in a small saucepan.  Scrape the seeds from the vanilla bean and add the bean and seeds to the milk. 
  2. Heat and stir the milk over medium heat until the milk begins to boil. 
  3. To froth the milk, put the hot milk in a blender and blend vigorously for 30 seconds. 
  4. Serve immediately in mugs and top with a pinch of fresh grated nutmeg. 
  5. Add honey to taste.
