Fighting Hunger. Sustaining Hope.

Volunteer

Give the gift of your time and talent as a St. Joseph Food Program volunteer and make a direct impact in the fight against hunger in the Fox Valley. Volunteering is a great way to make new friends, learn skills, and have fun while making a difference.

Learn about our volunteer opportunities and find our volunteer application HERE.

At this time, we respectfully ask you not to volunteer if:

  • You, or anyone with whom you come in regular contact, have tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 14 days
  • You, or anyone with whom you come in regular contact, are sick
  • You have recently returned from travel within the US or abroad
  • You are under the age of 16

Health officials warn that anyone over the age of 60, or people with underlying health issues at any age, face the risk of serious complications due to Covid-19. That risk spreads to anyone you live with or with whom you come in regular contact. Anyone in those categories should consult with loved ones and make an informed decision about when to volunteer.

In following CDC guidelines for the safety of our volunteers, guests, and staff, all workers are required to wear masks and to maintain social distance during their shifts.

Here are some ways volunteers engage in our mission:

Individual Volunteering – Our greatest strength is volunteers who make a regular commitment.
Service Hours – Fulfill service hours required for church, school, employment, court, etc.
Group Projects – Not available at this time, but check back again.
Corporate Partnerships – Get your employees engaged in the community, or fulfill hours required by your employer.
Internships – Create an experience for students in any course of study.
Volunteer Support – Can't come in to volunteer? Show how much you appreciate those who do by organizing special treats, cards, posters, etc.
Talent Sharing – What skill or talent do you possess that you would like to share with us if we could make it possible for you to do so?

If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Volunteer Program Manager, Leah Thibodeau. You can contact her at 920-734-9461 x 313 or through email at lthibodeau@stjoesfoodprogram.orgShe is in the office from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
