Fighting Hunger. Sustaining Hope.

Guest Services

Starting on March 15, 2021, we will open our new distribution windows on the north side of our building. This effort to keep our guests and volunteers safe has been made possible because of the generous gifts of many contractors and vendors.

Due to the pandemic, guests have only had to drive up to be served by our volunteers. Going forward, it will be your responsibility to load your groceries into your vehicle.

Food Pickup Instructions (Starting 3/15/21)

In order to continue to keep our volunteers and guests safe during the pandemic and to bring our volunteers in from the cold, rain, snow, and ice, we have installed two new sign-in stations and three distribution windows. This new distribution method will look something like this (see map below as well):

  1. The Greeter (by the van) on Opportunity Way will no longer be operating.
  2. Guest cars will continue to enter on Opportunity way and follow the same route as you have over the last year. It is important that, even if there is not significant traffic, you follow the same route (follow the red arrows)
  3. You will stop at the stop sign and scan your card at one of the sign-in stations (yellow on map) near the stop sign where you currently sign in. If you recently interviewed, you may let the sign-in volunteer know you've completed your interview and need to pick up your new card.
  4. A volunteer will be working in the lobby to sign you in and answer your questions
  5. When sign-in is completed, you will proceed around the corner on the lane north of the St. Joe’s building where there are three pick-up windows (green on map).
  6. There are green and red lights on each canopy indicating if the window is open for service.
  7. Proceed to a window with a green light. Pull up to the window so that your trunk lines up with the window and open your trunk
  8. Step out of your vehicle and close your driver side door. This is important as other cars may need to pass around on your left side to access another window or to exit.
  9. Please wear a mask when coming to the window unless health reasons prevent you doing so.
  10. Come to the window. Our volunteer will verify your name and pass your groceries out of the window.
  11. You can then load your groceries directly into your vehicle and exit from Compassion Way.
